Stress Less, Enjoy More

I was watching Dance Moms last night and at one point there was something that someone said that made me think about the contents of my day--
Dancers , when spinning, find something to focus on and that helps them to not be dizzy. Apparently it works, because they look as graceful as ever doing their unique dances, but lets relate this to us.
Life is like a dance, in more ways then one, and sometimes when we get stressed, we lose focus. It doesn't mean we are lost but maybe we are losing our way, a little less then we could.
Having goals and dreams, and acting toward accomplishing them is key and vital to successful lives, so like a dancer, we must focus. Ask the most well paid executive on any given day, and you will see the end result. It takes work to complete goals and create things, and even if you set daily goals of basic things, whether it is simply getting out of bed, going to the doctor, etc, still it's a goal. Always having a goal in mind is something we can use to help us focus and grow as well, beyond the blossoming of our bodies and the strength of our hearts and minds. This does not mean it will always be easy, but anything worth having is worth fighting for.
It takes a lot out of you to retain that focus as you step forward into the next step, next process, and the mood swings and high rolling emotions that threaten to engulf us with the "All or nothing" spirit only pushes us farther away. Through consistent drive we are able to walk through anything we put our minds to.
Don't forget the balance to these things, and one should not need to endlessly strive, without fruit, but instead have results, ie fruit!
I know this is a lot to take in, but it's just some more of my random thoughts that I have. I love how God always speaks to me on things like this at just the right time.
As you progress farther into your pregnancies, just make small goals to lead to the big goal, whatever it is that you enjoy or want to do. Goals geared toward learning parenting skills are a plus because you may not use everything you learn but those things you can learn , learn them. It doesn't matter if you're 14 or 41 , no one is ever ready to be a parent in the fullness of the sense...Parenting is hard work, and even if you are choosing adoption, for my future fellow birth mamas to be, you can still make goals and orient yourself to the goals of what kind of birth mother you want to be-- don't live a life of excuses my dear friends, but make your life worth something you can appreciate years down the road..
alright, love and hugs to everyone on this beautiful spring day![]()
